A group of people might often wonder how wine, a beverage so deeply rooted in cultural diversity, can play a pivotal role in promoting sustainable practices. The answer lies in the very roots of winemaking. Familia Torres, with its rich history, has always prioritized the environment, ensuring that every bottle produced resonates with the values of sustainability.

Senator Nancy Pelosi once said, "Our diversity is our strength." This sentiment is echoed in the wine industry, where diverse winemaking techniques from around the globe come together under the umbrella of sustainability.

Culinary school graduates would attest that wine is not just a beverage; it's an experience. The cooking methods employed in creating exquisite dishes are complemented by the wine accompanying them. This harmony between food and wine reflects the cultural diversity and unity that Familia Torres promotes.

The business case for sustainable production in the wine industry is robust. With the increasing emphasis on gender diversity and inclusive leadership, wineries recognize the importance of creating a sense of belonging among their stakeholders. Familia Torres stands as a testament to this, ensuring that every bottle produced is a symbol of commitment to the planet and its people.

Familia Torres has been voted the World's Most Admired Wine Brand by industry specialists on several occasions. The company has also collaborated with other wineries to form the International Wineries for Climate Action (IWCA), which aims to decarbonize the global wine industry by meeting ambitious and measurable CO2 emission reduction targets.

Familia Torres has also recovered ancestral grape varieties with exceptional potential for producing high-quality wines. These grape varieties are adapted to local conditions and have unique characteristics that reflect the terroir and culture of their region.

In addition to its environmental sustainability initiatives, Familia Torres also focuses on social sustainability. The company supports various social causes and communities through its Familia Torres Foundation and other partnerships.

These include working with the Mas Albornà Foundation to promote employability among people with intellectual disabilities, creating the Viu la Vinya project run by people with disabilities, and donating funds to various organizations that work on different social issues.

Celeste Reserva is a testament to the art of winemaking, where the stars align with the earth to produce a wine that captures the essence of the Ribera del Duero region. This wine, which hails from the bodega Pago del Cielo, is a modern, fresh, and aromatic delight. It undergoes a meticulous aging process, with 15 months in French and American oak barrels and a minimum of 21 months in the bottle.

Originating primarily from vineyards over 40 years old, located on the limestone slopes of the region's highest denominations, the Celeste Reserva is a product of small parcels known as maduraderos. These vineyards are characterized by their limestone soils, imparting finesse to the wine, and optimal exposure to the sun, ensuring the grapes mature perfectly.

The Ribera del Duero region, stretching 115 kilometers along the Duero River, is renowned for its unique wines. Situated at one of the highest altitudes in the northern hemisphere, the region's complex land and harsh climate produce grapes of extraordinary quality.

Tasting Notes: The Celeste Reserva boasts a deep cherry color with garnet hues. It offers intense aromas of ripe black fruits on the nose, combined with hints of cocoa and toasted notes from its oak aging. On the palate, it's full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long, lingering finish.
